Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 10, 2026 · Last Updated: July 27, 2026 · Version 2026-07-27

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on PlateMastr or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PlateMastr. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PlateMastr LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Texas, USA.

2. Description of Service

PlateMastr is a web-based productivity platform designed for metal finishing and electroplating professionals. Features include ChemStream chemistry tracking, lab analysis management, process troubleshooting guidance, defect tracking, corrective action management, CRM tools, line walk process audits, PDF report generation, and educational content. Some features require a paid subscription. Users may upload files including profile photos, company logos, and audit photos as part of their use of the platform.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@platemastr.app if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription & Billing

  • PlateMastr offers a Free tier, a paid “PlateMastr Pro” tier at $9.99 per month, and “Enterprise” plans offered as fixed seat bundles (see below).
  • All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your credit card information.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each billing period — monthly or annually, depending on the term you select — until you cancel.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then.
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Once a billing cycle has begun, that period’s charge is final, and we do not prorate or credit unused time.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes will apply at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period.

Enterprise Plans & Seat Bundles

  • Enterprise plans are offered as fixed seat bundles: Enterprise Solo (1 seat, $99.99/mo), Enterprise 10 ($499.99/mo), Enterprise 20 ($799.99/mo), Enterprise 30 ($999.99/mo), and Enterprise Unlimited ($1,999.99/mo). Annual terms are billed at ten times the monthly price. There are no à-la-carte seats — you choose the bundle that fits your organization.
  • Each seat holder must create their own PlateMastr account and is individually bound by these Terms of Service.
  • Changing your bundle is a self-serve upgrade or downgrade in Settings. The new plan’s price applies at your next renewal, and we do not prorate mid-cycle charges or credits.
  • The organization administrator (“Admin”) is responsible for all charges on the subscription, including charges for all seats in the selected bundle.

5. Your Data & Intellectual Property

You own your data. All ChemStream entries, lab records, CRM data, notes, and other content you enter into PlateMastr remains your property. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant PlateMastr a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license ends when you delete your account.

We own the platform. The PlateMastr application, including its design, code, branding, educational content, process guides, and all other platform materials, is the intellectual property of PlateMastr. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the platform.

6. User-Uploaded Content

PlateMastr allows users to upload or import files, text, and data — including profile photos, company logos, photos attached to line walk audit observations, and checklists, procedures, records, or other materials you paste or import into the platform (“User Content”). By uploading or importing User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have all necessary rights to upload and use it on the platform.
  • The content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • The content is not illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Where User Content originates from a third party (for example, an accreditation-body checklist you access under your own license), your license or agreement with that third party permits you to load it into and use it within PlateMastr.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading content, you grant PlateMastr a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, serve, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and generating reports for your use. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

Storage and visibility: Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage (United States) and are accessible via public URLs. Do not upload files that contain sensitive or confidential information you do not wish to be publicly accessible. Profile photos and logos may be embedded in PDF reports that you generate and distribute.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful, illegal, or objectionable. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if we remove your content.

7. Usage Data

Usage Data. To improve PlateMastr, we collect anonymized, aggregated data about how features are used — such as which sections are visited and which tools are accessed most often. This data is never sold, is not linked to personally identifiable information in any external system, and is used solely to understand how the product is performing and to guide future development. Per-user navigation preference data (used to power personalized features like “Your Bench”) is stored in your account and deleted when you close your account.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use PlateMastr for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, other users’ accounts, or our systems.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of PlateMastr.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from PlateMastr without written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful material.
  • Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Upload files containing sensitive personal data of others (such as personally identifiable information about your customers or employees) without a lawful basis for doing so.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to PlateMastr.

9. Troubleshooting & Process Guidance Disclaimer

Important: PlateMastr’s Process Troubleshooting section, troubleshooting guides, and any process recommendations provided within the platform are for general informational and educational purposes only.

They are not a substitute for the guidance of your chemical supplier, process engineer, or other qualified professionals. Metal finishing processes involve hazardous chemicals, strict quality requirements, and facility-specific variables that no general guide can fully account for.

You use any recommendation at your own risk.Always consult your chemical supplier’s technical data sheets and your facility’s standard operating procedures before making changes to your process. PlateMastr accepts no responsibility for process outcomes, product defects, chemical damage, equipment damage, or any other consequence resulting from the use of information provided on the platform.

9A. AI-Generated Guidance

Please read carefully

PlateMastr includes AI-powered features, including an in-app assistant and automated analysis of bath log data (together, “AI Output”). AI Output is generated automatically by third-party artificial-intelligence models and is not reviewed by any qualified person before it is delivered to you. It is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

AI Output is not a chemical, engineering, safety, or professional recommendation, is not specific to your facility, equipment, chemistry, or conditions, and is not a substitute for your chemical supplier’s technical data sheets and safety data sheets, your facility’s standard operating procedures, or the judgment of a qualified professional.

AI OUTPUT MAY BE INACCURATE, INCOMPLETE, OR OUTDATED, AND MAY BE EXPRESSED WITH APPARENT CONFIDENCE NOTWITHSTANDING SUCH INACCURACY. Where the platform indicates a confidence level, that indicator is an automated estimate only and is not a representation of accuracy.

You are solely responsible for evaluating AI Output and for all decisions and actions taken in your facility. You must not rely on AI Output in connection with any chemical exposure, spill, release, fire, or personal injury, or in any emergency. In an emergency, use your safety data sheets and your facility’s emergency procedures. In the United States, Poison Control is 1-800-222-1222.

Where you enable AI features using your own AI provider credentials, your inputs and associated data are transmitted to and processed by that provider under that provider’s terms, and all usage charges are your responsibility. PlateMastr does not control that provider’s processing.

The disclaimers in Section 9, the limitations in Section 10, and the indemnity in Section 11 apply fully to AI Output.

10. Limitation of Liability

Please read carefully

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlateMastr and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, regardless of the theory of liability, including any such damages arising from or relating to the negligence of PlateMastr or its operator.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of PlateMastr shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to PlateMastr in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

PlateMastr is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform’s availability, reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we are not liable for any data loss resulting from service disruptions, system failures, or security breaches.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Upon termination, your right to use PlateMastr ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Settings page. Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of PlateMastr after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PlateMastr regarding your use of the platform and supersede any prior agreements.

17. Advertisers

If you are an advertiser or sponsor, additional terms apply. See our Advertiser Terms of Service.

18. Technical Standards References

PlateMastr course content, training materials, and reference guides may cite technical requirements and parameter values from industry standards bodies including ASTM International, SAE International (AMS specifications), ISO, the Nickel Institute, and applicable U.S. Military specifications (MIL-specs).

Such references are made for educational purposes only. PlateMastr does not reproduce full standards documents and is not an authorized distributor of any standards body's publications. Reference to a specification does not imply that PlateMastr's content constitutes the complete or current version of that standard.

Users are responsible for consulting the current published version of any referenced standard for compliance, engineering, or quality purposes. Standards are available directly from their respective publishers (astm.org, sae.org, iso.org, nickelinstitute.org).
